BEL Probationary Engineer Vacancy 2025

The number of vacancies for recruitment of PE (Electronics / Mechanical) in E-II Grade under the BEL India is disclosed with the release of notification brochure. There are a total number of 350 posts, you may check the category-wise number of posts from below.

  • UR (Unreserved): 143
  • EWS (Economically Weaker Section): 35
  • OBC (NCL – Non-Creamy Layer): 94

Note: Out of 350 vacancies, 150 vacancies and 200 vacancies are for Mechanical and Electronics, respectively.

BEL Probationary Engineer Eligibility Criteria 2025

The eligibility criterias for the BEL Probationary Engineer Recruitment 2025 is available below in terms of educational institutions and age limit. Go through the listed points to check that you are eligible to apply or not.

Educational Qualification:
  • Probationary Engineer (Electronic) in E-II Grade: A candidate must have pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electronics and Communication, Electronics & Telecommunication, Communication or Telecommunication Engineering from an institution recognized by the All India Council of Technical Education.
  • Probationary Engineer (Mechanical) in E-II Grade: One must have pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an institution recognized by the AICTE.

Note: The candidate who belongs to UR, OBC or EWS must have the exam with First, and the individual who belongs to SC, ST or PwBD are required to pass the qualifying exam with at least Pass Class.

Age Limit:
  • One’s age shouldn’t be below 18 years and above 25 years as of January 01, 2025, the upper age relaxation is applicable:
    • OBC-NCL: 3 Years 
    • SC/ST: 5 Years 

Note: There is an additional upper age relaxation for 10 years for the Person with Benchmark Disability.

BEL Probationary Engineer Application Fee 2025

To apply for the BEL Probationary Engineer Recruitment 2025, a candidate who belongs to Unreserved, Other Backward Class (Non-Creamy Layer) and Economically Weaker Section is required to deposit the application fee of ₹1,000/- with 18% GST i.e. the total payable amount using the debit card, credit card or any other provided payment gateway is ₹1,180/-

Note: Person with Benchmark Disability, and candidates who belong to Scheduled Caste, or Schedule Tribes are exempted from the payment of the application fee.

BEL Probationary Engineer Selection Process 2025

The selection process for recruitment of Probationary Engineer (Electronics & Mechanical) in E-II Grade under the Bharat Electronics Limited consists of multiple stages, which are Computer-Based Test, and Interview.

  • Computer-Based Test: Individuals should know that it will be held most probably in March or April 2025. There will be a total number of 100 MCQs from Technical Questions and 25 MCQs from General Aptitude & Reasoning. Each question will carry 1 mark and there will be negative marking for ¼ mark.
  • Interview: Individuals who will pass the Computer-Based Test will be called for the Interview, which will be held in the face-to-face mode. It is expected that the second stage of the selection process will be held within four weeks after the release of the result for CBT.

The final selection list for recruitment of Probationary Engineer (Electronics & Mechanical) in E-II Grade will be prepared on the basis of individuals’ performance in CBT and Interview with a weightage of 85:15. 

Individuals who will be shortlisted will be appointed in Bangalore (Karnataka), Ghaziabad (UP), Pune (Maharashtra), Hyderabad (Telangana), Chennai (Tamil Nadu), Machilipatnam (Andhra Pradesh) Panchkula  (Haryana), Kotdwara (Uttarakhand) and Navi Mumbai (Maharashtra).
