Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criterias for recruitment of Pharmacists under the Bihar Health Department is available below in terms of educational qualification and age limit.
Educational Qualification:
- The candidate must have passed the Intermediate exam with Science stream from a school recognised by the BSEB, Patna or CBSE, New Delhi.
- Additionally, the candidate must have pursued a Diploma in Pharmacy (DPhram) from an institution recognized by the PCI.
- Furthermore, the individual must have permanent registration with the Bihar Pharmacy Council.
Age Limit:
- One’s age shouldn’t be below 18 years and above 37 years and 40 years for Male and Female, respectively, as of August 01, 2024.
- There is 3 years and 5 years upper age relaxation for Backward Class & Extremely Backward Class and Schedule & Scheduled Tribes, respectively.
- Additionally, there is an additional upper age relaxation for 10 years for Physically Handicapped candidates.
Application Fee
In order to apply for the BTSC Pharmacist Recruitment 2025, a male candidate who belongs to UR, EWS, BC and EBC is required to deposit the application fee of ₹600/-; and the payable amount for all female and male individuals who belong to SC, ST and PH is ₹150/-. It is mandatory to pay the required amount by deadline, because without it no application form will be accepted.
Selection Process
The selection process for recruitment of recruitment of Pharmacists under the Bihar Health Department consists multiple stages, which are Written Exam and Document Verification. Individuals should know that the first stage will be held in the CBT mode with an exam time duration of 02 hours, in which there will be 100 MCQs from different sections.
Each question in the BTSC Pharmacist Exam 2025 will carry a weightage of 1 mark, and incase of incorrect response 0.25 mark will be deducted. The medium of exam will be English and Hindi, the final selection list is going to prepare based in the performance in the Written Exam and Work Experience, if any, with the weightage of 75:25.
Pay Scale
Individuals who will be appointed as Pharmacists under the Bihar Health Department will get the monthly salary range from ₹5,200/- to ₹20,200/- with Grade Pay of ₹2800/- under the 7th Central Pay Commission. Additionally, the individual will be able to avail the benefits of Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, and others.
