CPP Student Payment 2025

The Canada Pension Plan is an initiative by the Government of Canada to support part-time students whose parents are either disabled or deceased and have contributed to the CPP. The main purpose of this benefit is to provide financial assistance to part-time students aged 18–24 who are facing challenges due to loss or disability of a parent.

Students can’t balance their finances and education due to the higher cost of living and this assistance is initiated so that students can care for their parents and they can also pursue their education. The Minister of Seniors, Joanne Thompson has made an announcement about this benefit that part-time students will be eligible for the 50% of the benefit amount paid by the CPP to full-time students.
