Eligibility Criteria:

In order to apply for recruitment of Executive Trainees under CSL is available below in terms of educational qualification, and age limit is available below.

Educational Qualification:

  • Mechanical: Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Electrical: Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Electronics: Degree in Electronics Engineering.
  • Naval Architecture: Degree in Naval Architecture.
  • Civil: Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Information Technology:
    • Degree in Engineering in Computer Science or Information Technology, or
    • Master’s Degree in Computer Applications, Computer Science, or Information Technology.
  • Human Resource: Master’s Degree or equivalent in HR-related fields.
  • Finance: Pass in the Final Exam of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or Institute of Cost Accountants of India.

Age Limit:

  • One age shouldn’t be below 18 and above 27 years as of 06 January 2024, that is, candidates should be born on or after 07 January 1998.

    • OBC-NCL: 3 Years
    • SC/ST: 5 Years
    • PwBD:
      • UR: 10 Years
      • OBC-NCL: 13 Years
      • SC/ST: 15 Years

Application Fee:

In order to apply for recruitment of Executive Trainees under the CSL, a candidate who belongs to UR, OBC or EWS is required to pay the application fee of ₹1,000/- with applicable Bank charges. SC/ST candidates are exempted for payment of fee, and a PwBD isn’t required to pay any amount if he/she is applying for ET (IT, HR, Finance).

Selection Process:

The selection process for recruitment of Executive Trainees positions under the CSL consists of two phases, which are as follows.

  • Phase-I: Online Test
  • Phase-II: Group Discussion, Writing Skills, and Interview

Individuals who will apply will be called for an Online Test, in which there will be 60 MCQs of each 1 mark from General Awareness, English, Numerical Ability, Reasoning, and Subject Knowledge, to touch all questions and individuals will get an exam time duration of an hour.

Candidates who will pass the first stage, which will be called for second. The second stage consists of GD, Writing Skills, and Interview; the weightage of the second stage is 40 marks. The final selection list will be compiled based on the performance in Stage 1 and 2.

Pay Scale:

Individuals who will be appointed as Executive Trainees under the CSL will get monthly stipend of ₹50,000/- during the training period, with additional upto ₹3,000/- for extra hours. You may check the pay scale after the training period from below.

  • Pay Scale: ₹40,000 – ₹1,40,000 (E-1 Grade)
  • Total Monthly Emoluments
    • Basic Pay: ₹40,000
    • DA (47.7%): ₹19,080
    • HRA (18%): ₹7,200
    • Perks & Allowances (35%): ₹14,000
    • Total: ₹80,280
  • Annual CTC: ₹14 lakhs

Individuals who are shortlisted for appointment will have to sign a Service Agreement of ₹5 lakh to serve the company at least 5 years after the successful completion of the training; if a candidate wants to resign during the service agreement, he or she has to pay ₹5 lakh to the company.
