EMRS Teacher Eligibility Criteria 2025
The eligibility criterias for recruitment of Teachers in the EMRS is available below in terms of educational qualification, age limit and experience, for applicable posts.
Principal
- Educational Qualification: A candidate must have pursued a Master’s degree in any subject from a university recognised by the UGC, and have completed a two-year BEd or three-year BEd.MEd from an institution recognized by the NCTE.
- Experience: Minimum 12 years of combined experience in teaching and administrative roles, with at least:
- 4 years as Vice Principal or PGT in Level-8 (or above).
- OR 10 years as PGT/TGT in Level-7 (or above).
- Age Limit: Upto 45 Years
Vice Principal
- Educational Qualification: Same as principal.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years as PGT in Level-8.
- Age Limit: Upto 45 Years
Post Graduate Teacher (PGT)
- Educational Qualification: One must have pursued a Master’s degree in a relevant subject from a university recognised by the UGC. Additionally, the candidate must have completed a two-year BEd or three-year BEd.MEd from an institution recognized by the NCTE, expect for PGT (Computer Science), for this position a candidate must have pursued any of following:
- B.E./B.Tech. in Computer Science/IT, or MCA/M.Sc. (Computer Science), or
- B.Sc. (Computer Science) + Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Science
- Age Limit: Upto 40 years.
Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT)
- Educational Qualification: A candidate must have pursued a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject from a university recognised by the UGC. Additionally, the candidate must have completed a two-year BEd or three-year BEd.MEd from an NCTE-recognized institute. Furthermore, the candidate must have passed the CTET Paper-II.
- Age Limit: Upto to 45 Years
Physical Education Teacher (PET)
- Educational Qualification: One must have completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) from an institution recognized by the NCTE.
- Age Limit: Upto 35 years.
Librarian
- Educational Qualification: Degree in Library Science (B.Lib./M.Lib.) from a university recognised by the UGC.
- Age Limit: Upto 35 Years.
Music Teacher
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Music from a university recognised by the UGC.
- Age Limit: Upto 35 Years.
Art Teacher
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts/Visual Arts from a university recognised by the UGC.
- Age Limit: Upto 35 Years.
