ICG Assistant Commandant Eligibility Criteria 2024
The eligibility criteria for recruitment of Assistant Commandant (Group ‘A’ Gazetted Officer) in various branches of the ICG is available below in terms of educational qualification, and age limit.
Educational Qualification:
- General Duty (GD): One must have pursued a Bachelor’s degree from a university recognised by the UGC, and the individual must have studied Mathematics and Physics as Intermediate Level.
- Technical (Engineering/Electrical): The candidate must have pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture or Mechanical or Marine or Automotive or Mechatronics or Industrial and Production or Metallurgy or Design or Aeronautical or Aerospace; or have completed the BE/BTech with Electrical or Electronics or Telecommunication or Instrumentation or Instrumentation and Control or Electronics and Communication or Power Engineering or Power Electronics.
Age Limit:
- One’s age shouldn’t be below 21 and above 25 years as of cut off date.
- The candidate’s birth date shouldn’t be before 01 July 2000 and after 30 June 2004, both dates are inclusive.
- There is a provision of upper age relaxation for 3 and 5 years for OBC-NCL and SC/ST, respectively.
ICG Assistant Commandant Selection Process 2024
The selection process for recruitment of AC (Group ‘A’ Gazetted Officer) in various branches of the ICG consists of multiple stages, which are as CGCAT, PSB, FSB, and ME. Get detailed information about each by going through the listed points.
- Coast Guard Common Admission Test (CGCAT): There will be 100 MCQs from English, Reasoning, Numerical Ability, General Science, and General Knowledge, to which individuals will get an exam time duration of 02 hours.
