The Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research has released the IISER Aptitude Test 2025 exam date and other information regarding the application form. The IISER aptitude test is conducted for admission into various undergraduate programs in seven IISERs along with IIT Madras and IISc Bangalore.

IISER Application Form 2025
The IISER conducts the aptitude test annually to select the candidates who have passed the 12th class with Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics/ Biology subjects for admission in any seven IISER Pune, Tirupati, Kolkata, Thiruvananthapuram, Bhopal, Mohali, and Berhampur.
The candidates who seek admission into the seven IISERs, IIT Madras and IISc Bangalore, should submit the application form. According to the information released by the IISER, the authority will open the application window from 10 March 2025 to 15 April 2025.

IISER IAT 2025 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates interested in the IISER aptitude test 2025 should check their eligibility through the following eligibility conditions:
Nationality:
- Candidates should be Indian Nationals, persons of Indian origin (PIO)/ Overseas Citizenship of India (OCI)/ foreign nationals.
- Candidates who belong to the families of the Kashmiri Pandit and Hindu families can also apply for the IAT 2025 when they meet the eligibility.
Educational Qualifications:
- Candidates must have passed the class XII exam or equivalent exam with science stream from any government-recognized board.
- Foreign national students should have an equivalence certificate issued by the Association of Indian Universities, or they have passed the intermediate or equivalent exam in India from a board recognized by COBSE.
- The candidates must have at least three subjects in class XII – Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics/ Biology.
- The candidates of the SC/ST/ PwD categories must have scored at least 55% or equivalent grade in intermediate, whereas candidates from other categories should have at least score 60% marks in the class XII examination or equivalent examinations.
Age:
- Candidates should be born on or after 01 October 2000, the candidates belonging to SC/ST/ PwD would get the age relaxation of five years.
IISER IAT 2025 Application Fees

IISER IAT 2025 Application Process

- You should visit the official website of the IISER mentioned above.
- Next, go to the Aptitude Test section on the homepage and click the Apply for IAT 2025 option.
- You will be directed to the IISER IAT 2025 application portal.
- Next, complete the registration process entering your personal details, phone number, etc, to access the application form.
- Next, once you access the IISER application form, fill out the application form carefully with the correct details.
- Next, upload the supporting documents, such as the class 12th mark sheet, photograph, and signature in the asked format.
- Next, move to the payment section and pay the application fee based on your category on the platform through online payment methods.
- Once the application fee transaction is complete, you will see the acknowledgment slip on the screen and receive the application number of the submitted application, make sure to save the submitted application form for future use.

The IISER will conduct the computer-based test across various centers in India, where the test will follow the below exam pattern:
- The IAT 2025 will have a total of 60 questions, where 15 questions will come from subjects PCMB.
- The candidates will get 3 hours to answer the questions, where for each correct answer, they will get four marks and for an incorrect answer, one mark will be deducted.
- The maximum mark for the IAT 2025 is 240, the candidates who get the highest marks will be awarded with rank.
