On 26 January 2025, the Telangana government launched several welfare schemes for the citizens, including the Indiramma Atmiya Bharosa scheme. The government announced the scheme at Chandravancha village, Narayanpet district.

Indiramma Atmiya Bharosa Scheme
The Telangana CM A Revanath Reddy has launched the Indiramma Atmiya Bharosa Scheme with other welfare schemes, such as Rythu Bharosa, ration card distribution, and others for the betterment of the state’s citizens. The Atmiya Bharosa scheme provides financial support to farmers with cultivated lands who are not financially strong and landless agricultural laborers.
Under the scheme, the government has allocated ₹20,000 crores to help the farmers and landless laborers financially. The government states with this scheme they are targeting around 10 lakh beneficiaries who will receive the annual payment of ₹12000.
According to the government, around 16,565 have been identified as landless laborers who were working under the MGNREGS in the gram sabhas. The financial support will help the farmers with cultivated land to get the money for buying seeds and other farming essentials.
What are the eligibility criteria for the Indiramma Atmiya Bharosa scheme?
Under the Indiramma Atmiya Bharosa Scheme, Telangana citizens who meet the following eligibility conditions can apply to receive financial support:
- You must be a permanent citizen of Telangana and must be a landless agricultural laborer.
- Or you can be a tenant farmer residing in Telangana State and the farmer must not own the arable land;
- Only one member of the landless laborers household will be able to become the beneficiary of the scheme.
- The landless laborer working for more than 20 days would be declared eligible for the scheme by the gram sabhas.
Indiramma Atmiya Bharosa Scheme Payout
Under the Indiramma Atmiya Bharosa Scheme, the government will provide an annual payment of ₹12,000 annual financial payment to the eligible beneficiaries. The eligible beneficiaries identified by the gram sabhas would receive the annual payment in two installments.
The government would send a payment of ₹6000 for each installment in a year to support the farmers and landless agricultural laborers. The beneficiaries would be able to boost the rural livelihood, improve their lives, and contribute to the economic development of the rural areas of the Telangana state.
The government would transfer the Atmiya Bharosa scheme payment to the eligible beneficiaries through DBT transfer directly to their bank account. This ensures transparency and direct transfer to the beneficiaries as it reduces corruption.
