Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for the recruitment of JE (Electrical) under various Corporations of Power Development Department is available below in terms of domicile, educational qualification, and age limit.

  • Domicile: A candidate must be a domicile of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.
  • Educational Qualification: A candidate must have pursued a BE/BTech or completed Diploma in Electrical Engineering from an institution recognized by the AICTE.
  • Age Limit: A candidate must have turned 18 years as of January 01, 2025, and the individual age shouldn’t be above 40 years. The upper age relaxation is applicable as State government rules, whose details are available below:
    • SC/ST/RBA/ALC/IB/OBC/PSP/EWS: 3 years
    • Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBDs): 2 years
    • Government 
    • Ex-Servicemen: 8 years

Application Fee

In order to apply for recruitment of Junior Engineers (Electrical) under the Power Development Department, a candidate is required to deposit the application fee of ₹600/- using a debit card, credit card, or any other provided payment. Selection Process 

The selection process for the recruitment of Junior Engineer (Electrical) under various Corporations of Power Development Department consists of multiple stages, which are Written Exam and Document Verification.
