In the United States, if an individual’s private information was exposed or damaged because of one of two Data Incidents involving MGM Resorts International in or around July 2019 and in or around September 2023, they may be eligible to receive benefits from a MGM Data Settlement.

A class action lawsuit has been reached against MGM Resorts International (“MGM”), alleging two Data Incidents, one that happened in or around July 2019, and a second Data Incident that occurred in or around September 2023. In these Data Incidents, customers and guests of MGM private information was accessed or obtained by unauthorized individuals. 

Who is eligible for MGM Data Settlement?

To qualify for the MGM Data Settlement, individuals need to satisfy the below listed eligibility requirements.

• Claimants need to have a permanent residency in the United States.
• Individuals Private Information need to be compromised in data incidents that occurred on or around July 2019, or in data incidents that occurred on or around September 2023. 
• Applicants need to receive a notice of this settlement by April 2025. The distribution process of Notice of this settlement was begun on February 20, 2025. 
• Candidates need to submit a valid and accurate claim form before the claim submission deadline of June 03, 2025.

• From the menu bar available options, locate and click the Submit a Claim button. 
• To login, you need to enter your Unique ID and PIN in the required sessions.
• After that, Hit the login button to get access to your claim form.
• Enter all the required details such as your name, address, phone number, email address, city, state, zip code, birth year, unique id, etc.
• Select the benefit payment that is suitable for you from the available options. 
• Attach all the required documents.

• Put out your printed name, signature and current date.

How much do you get from MGM Data Settlement?

Qualifying individuals will be able to receive one from the below listed settlement benefits. 

• Documented Loss Cash Payment: If an individual submits a Claim Form with supporting documentation expressing you incurred financial losses due to the Data Incidents for up to $15,000.00.
• Financial Account Monitoring: After submitting a valid claim form individuals will be able to receive one year of three-bureau identity theft protection, credit monitoring and a maximum of $1,000,000 for fraud or identity theft insurance.
• Tiered Cash Payments: Individuals may be qualified for receiving a flat cash payment if their private information beached in either of the 2019 or 2023 Data Incident. If an individual will receive Notice of the Settlement through email or mail, then their Notice informs them about whether they are eligible for a Tier 1, Tier 2 or Tier 3 of Cash Payment.

• Tier 1 Cash Payment: If an individual’s Social Security number or military identification number was disclosed, they can get a maximum of $75.00 flat cash payment.
• Tier 2 Cash Payment: If an individual’s passport or driver’s license number was demolished then they can get a maximum of $50.00 flat cash payment.
• Tier 3 Cash Payment:  If an individual’s name, address and date of birth was exposed, then they can receive up to  $20.00 flat cash payment.

When and how will you get from MGM Data Settlement

The exact MGM Data Settlement payout date is not known yet but it is anticipated that If an individual files a timely, valid and accurate Claim Form  then they will be able to receive the settlement benefits within a few weeks to months after the Settlement is approved and becomes final. The Court is going to hold a Final Approval Hearing on 18 June 2025, at 9:00 a.m.
