Individuals who want to join the ONGC on Engineering and Geoscience Disciplines at the E1 level through Computer-Based Test should know that the application form is available from January 10, 2025. The direct link to apply is going to be available at https://ongcindia.com/ upto January 24, 2025.

The number of vacancies for Engineering and Geoscience Disciplines at E1 level under the ONGC is disclosed. Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criterias for recruitment of AEE and other positions under the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation is available below.

Geoscience Disciplines
  1. Geologist:
    • Qualification: Postgraduate Degree in Geology/Petroleum Geoscience/Petroleum Geology/Geological Technology with 60%.
    • Age Limit: 21 to 26 years.
  2. Geophysicist (Surface):
    • Qualification: Postgraduate Degree in Geophysics/Geophysical Technology/Physics with Electronics with 60%.
    • Age Limit: 21 to 26 years.
  3. Geophysicist (Wells):
    • Qualification: Postgraduate Degree in Geophysics/Geophysical Technology/Physics with Electronics with 60%.
    • Age Limit: 21 to 26 years.
Engineering Disciplines
  1. AEE (Production – Mechanical):
    • Qualification: Graduate Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 60%.
    • Age Limit: 21 to 27 years.
  2. AEE (Production – Petroleum):
    • Qualification: Graduate Degree in Petroleum/Applied Petroleum Engineering with 60%.
    • Age Limit: 21 to 27 years.
  3. AEE (Production – Chemical):
    • Qualification: Graduate Degree in Chemical Engineering with 60%.
    • Age Limit: 21 to 27 years.
  4. AEE (Drilling – Mechanical):
    • Qualification: Graduate Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 60%.
    • Age Limit: 21 to 27 years.
  5. AEE (Drilling – Petroleum):
    • Qualification: Graduate Degree in Petroleum Engineering with 60%.
    • Age Limit: 21 to 27 years.
  6. AEE (Mechanical):
    • Qualification: Graduate Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 60%.
    • Age Limit: 21 to 27 years.
  7. AEE (Electrical):
    • Qualification: Graduate Degree in Electrical Engineering with 60%.
    • Additional Requirement: Certificate of Competency as Electrical Supervisor (within 2 years of joining).
    • Age Limit: 21 to 27 years.

The upper age relaxation is applicable for 3 years for OBC-NCL, 5 years for SC and ST. There is an additional upper age relaxation for 10 years for PwBD.

Application Fee

In order to apply for Engineering and Geoscience Disciplines at E1 level, a candidate who belongs to Unreserved, Other Backward Class or Economically Weaker Section is required to pay the application fee ₹1,000/- using the debit card, credit card or any provided payment gateway.

Note: Person with Benchmark Disability, and individuals who belong to Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribes are exempted from the payment of the application fee.

Selection Process 

The selection process for Engineering and Geoscience Disciplines at E1 level under the ONGC consists of two stages, which are Computer-Based Test and Interview.

  • Computer-Based Test: Candidates who will apply will be called for the CBT, in which there will be 85 MCQs of each 1 will be asked from different sections.
  • Interview: Individuals who will pass the CBT will be called for the Interview. It will be held in the face-to-face mode, which will be 15 marks.
