Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criterias for recruitment of Grade B posts under the Reserve Bank of India is available below in terms of educational qualification and age limit.
Educational Qualification:
- Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR) – General: One must have pursued a Bachelor’s Degree in any subject or discipline/stream from an institution, university recognized by the UGC or AICTE.
- Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR) – DEPR (Department of Economic and Policy Research): One must have pursued a Master’s Degree in Economics / Econometrics / Quantitative Economics / Mathematical Economics / Integrated Economics Course / Finance, or have pursued Post Graduate Diploma in Management or Master’s of Business Administration (Finance) from an institution recognized by the UGC.
- Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR) – DSIM (Department of Statistics and Information Management): One must have pursued Master’s Degree in Statistics / Mathematical Statistics / Mathematical Economics / Econometrics, or Master’s Degree in Mathematics and 1-year Post-Graduate Diploma in Statistics from an institution recognized by the UGC.
The minimum marks requirement for Bachelor’s Degree holders is 60% score as aggregate for UR/OBC/EWS, 50% score for SC/ST/PwBD; individuals with Master’s Degree who belong to UR/OBC/EWS need only 55% score as aggregate, while the SC/ST/PwBD candidates need only passing marks.
Age Limit:
- One’s age shouldn’t be below 21 years and above 30 years. The upper age relaxation is applicable as per GOI rules, whose details are:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- Physically Handicapped (PH): 10 years
- PH + OBC: 13 years
- PH + SC/ST: 15 years
The upper age limit for the UR candidates with MPhil and PhD is 32 years and 34 years, respectively.
Application Fee
To apply for the recruitment of Grade B posts under the Reserve Bank of India, a candidate who belongs to UR, OBC or EWS may be required to pay the application fee of ₹850 with 18% Gst, those who belong to SC, ST or PwBD are expected to pay the application fee of ₹100 with 18% GST.
