RRB Group D Recruitment 2025

Notification for appointment to Group D positions is released by the RRB, the application form will be available from 23 January to 22 February 2025. Candidates will be able to submit the application form by visiting the official website. To apply, Individuals will have to submit the necessary details, documents and fee.

RRB Group D Eligibility Criteria 2025

In order to apply for recruitment of Group D positions under the Indian Railways, a candidate must have passed the Class 10 (Matriculation) Exam from a recognised school. Additionally, the candidate must have obtained a National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) from an institution recognised by the SCVT or NCVT.

To apply, a candidate’s age shouldn’t be below 18 years, the upper age limit for Unreserved & Economically Weaker Section, Other Backward Class (Non-Creamy Layer) and Schedule Caste & Scheduled Tribes is 36 years, 39 years, 41 years, respectively, as of July 01, 2025.

Note: Additionally, there is an additional upper age relaxation for 10 years for persons with Benchmark Disability.

RRB Group D Application Fee 2025

In order to apply for the recruitment of Group D positions under the Indian Railways, a male candidate who belongs to Unreserved is required to pay the application fee ₹500/- using the debit card, credit card, NET banking or any other provided payment gateway on or before February 22, 2024.

Note: All Female aspirants, PwBD, Transgender, and Ex-Servicemen who belong to Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Caste or Economically Backward Class are required to deposit only ₹400/-.

RRB Group D Selection Process 2025

The selection process for recruitment of Group D positions under the Indian Railways consists of multiple stages, which are Computer-Based Test and Physical Efficiency Test. You may check the details about it by going through the listed points.

Computer-Based Test

  • Mode: Online
  • Duration: 90 Minutes
  • Total Questions: 100
  • Maximum Marks: 100
  • Question Type: Objective 
  • Marking Scheme:
    • +1 mark for correct answers
    • -1/3 mark for wrong answers (negative marking)
  • Medium: English & Hindi or one of the regional languages.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

Male:

  • Lift & Carry: 35 kg for 100 meters in 2 minutes
  • Run: 1000 meters in 4 minutes 15 seconds

Female:

  • Lift & Carry: 20 kg for 100 meters in 2 minutes
  • Run: 1000 meters in 5 minutes 40 seconds

Candidates who will apply will be called for the CBT, which is expected to be administered in the second quarter of 2025. Individuals need to know that the second stage of the selection process will be administered within a week after the release of the result for the CBT. It is going to be held with the Document Verification and Medical Examination.
