Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for the UPSC CMS Exam 2025 is available below in terms of educational qualification and age limit.
- Educational Qualification: One must have pursued a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from an institution recognized by the Medical Council of India. Additionally, the individual must have completed the Internship as of August 01, 2025.
- Age Limit: A candidate’s age shouldn’t be below 18 years and 35 years as of August 01, 2025. The upper age relaxation is applicable as per government rules, you may check the details from below:
- OBC: 3 years
- SC/ST: 5 years
- PwBD: 10 years
- Ex-servicemen: 5 years
- Defence Personnel disabled in operations: 3 years

Application Fee
In order to apply for the UPSC CMS Exam 2025, a male candidate who belongs to Unreserved or Other Backward Class is required to deposit the application fee of ₹200/- using the debit card, credit card, NET banking, or any other provided payment gateway by the deadline, which is March 11, 2025.
Females, Persons with Benchmark Disability, and male individuals who belong to Scheduled Tribes and Scheduled Tribes are exempted from the payment of the application fee.
Selection Process
The UPSC CMS Exam 2025 consists of multiple stages, which are the Written Exam and the Personality Test. Individuals who will apply will be called for a Written Exam, which will be followed by the Personality Test.
