VMC Fireman Physical Test Details 2024

• Rope Climbing (Vertical): Climb the rope.
• Swimming Test: Swim 100 meters without leg support in 3 minutes.
• Deep Diving: Retrieve an object from underwater in three attempts.
• Running with Hose Pipe: Run 100 meters with a hose pipe in 20 seconds.
• Long Jump: Jump at least 3 meters in three attempts.
• Running 800 Meters: Complete in 5 minutes.

The date for the written exam, which is the second stage of the selection process for recruitment of Fireman (Sainik) under the Vadodara Municipal Corporation will be held within a month after the physical test. VMC Fireman Eligibility Criteria 2024

The eligibility criteria to apply for recruitment of Fireman in the VMC is available below, aspirants may check it in terms of educational qualification, age limit and physical requirement.

Educational Qualification:

• A candidate must have passed Matriculation i.e. Class 10 Exam from a school recognised by State or Central board.
• Additionally, the individual should have completed a Fireman course from a government recognized institution.
• Subsequently, the aspirant must be proficient in reading, writing, and speaking Gujarati.

Age Limit:

• The age of the candidate must be between 20 to 30 years.
• There will be upper age relaxation for 3 and 5 years for SEBC and SC/ST, respectively.

Physical Requirement:

• The physical requirement details are as follows:
  • Height: Minimum 165 cm (5’5”).
  • Weight: Minimum 50 kg.
  • Chest: 81 cm (normal), 86 cm (expanded).

VMC Fireman Application Fee 2024

Candidates who are interested in being appointed as Fireman under the VMC, were required to pay the application fee of 400 rupees using the debit card, credit card, NET banking or any other provided payment gateway. The payable amount for SC, ST, EWS, SEBC, and Divyang candidates was only 200 rupees.

VMC Fireman Selection Process 2024

The selection process for recruitment of Firemen under the Vadodara Municipal Corporation consists of multiple stages, which are as follows.

• Physical Tests
• Written Exam 
• Interview 

Candidates who will apply will be called for the Physical Tests, which will be followed by the Written Exam, and then Interview will be administered.

VMC Fireman Pay Scale 2024

Candidates who will be appointed as Fireman under the VMC will get a monthly salary of 26,000 rupees for three consecutive years, following which, the pay scale will be revised accordingly for 7th Pay Commission Level-2, which ranges from 19,900 to 63,200 rupees with DA, HRA, and other allowances.
